Paint Correction
(Buff and/or Polish, and Seal or Coat)
Paint correction is a service to progressively remove flaws from the painted surfaces of your vehicle and embellish its gloss and luster.
-
This is the simplest service we offer meant to augment the gloss of the paint and remove minor defects like swirls, halos and minor scratches.
This service includes the following:
• Cleaning of the wheels, wheel wells, and tires.
• Thorough hand-wash of exterior.
• Clean all door jambs.
• All glass cleaned outside and inside.
• Polish of all painted surfaces with a one-step polish.
• Protection of paint with a 4–6-month ceramic sealant.
-
A one-step correction is the most common. It is more aggressive than the paint enhancement with the aim to remove a good percentage of light to medium scratching.
This service includes the following:
• Cleaning of the wheels, wheel wells, and tires.
• Thorough hand-wash of exterior.
• Clean all door jambs.
• All glass cleaned outside and inside.
• Measurement of paint thickness using a paint thickness gauge.
• Polish each body panel with multiple passes to refine the painted surfaces even further removing 60+% of the flaws present.
• Protection of paint with a 4–6-month ceramic sealant.
• This is what we include standard with our ceramic coating services.
-
A two-step correction is the most aggressive we offer outside of wet sanding. A two-step correction will typically remove around 75%-85% of the defects in the painted surfaces.
This service includes the following:
• Cleaning of the wheels, wheel wells, and tires.
• Thorough hand-wash of exterior.
• Clean all door jambs.
• All glass cleaned outside and inside.
• Measurement of paint thickness using a paint thickness gauge.
• Using a dual action polisher, a compounding pad and compound, buff all the painted surfaces on the vehicle.
• Using a dual action polisher, a finishing pad and a light polish, polish all the painted surfaces on the vehicle to refine the gloss.
• Protection of paint with a 4–6-month ceramic sealant.
• It is highly suggested to have a multi-year ceramic coating applied to protect the newly refined finish.
